"If you want to nurture a state of genuine positive emotions rather than false ones that cover up your true feelings, you have to accept being uncomfortable at times. Making positive changes can be difficult when you've become accustomed to your old, negative habits. When you start to think, behave, and feel more positively, you may notice that you're uncomfortable, as if you're walking in new shoes. In a way, you are: you are practising new, positive habits – and you may not be used to that yet, but you will be.If you are feeling ill at ease, it could simply be because you need to turn up the volume on your faith or confidence. Sometimes however your discomfort is a signal that something isn't quite right. If it seems that you should be relaxed and you aren't, take a closer look at your feelings. If you suspect that your discomfort is telling you that you need to fix something in the situation, listen to its message. Make the changes and do what needs to be done to create a positive emotional state once again.
Today's Soul Wave... "It is better to step forward into growth then to step back into safety". If you're stepping back, it's not into safety – it's actually unsafe to retreat from growth. Move forward and embrace change, even if it makes you uncomfortable, remembering that choosing strong, positive emotions will soon become a habit.
