The OODA Loop was created by an Air Force fighter pilot who served in the Korean War by the name of John Boyd. He crafted a framework for making rapid decisions that would ensure success in fast changing environments. Boyd's OODA loop is as pertinent to business as it is to aerial combat.
The OODA loop consists of four steps. OBSERVE what is happening and process as much information from as many sources as possible. ORIENT those observations by distinguishing the relevant from the significant. DECIDE on a course of action and select one path. ACT to execute the decision – keeping in mind that the action is not at the end, because the loop flows continuously. The OODA loop is not just about moving faster. It is about being able to generate the necessary time to examine a problem before taking action. Today's Soul Wave... How can you apply the OODA loop to your personal growth? Observe where you are. Orient your situation through the perspective of what matters to you. Decide what will move you in the direction of what you want to feel, have or do. Then, take bold decisive action. #OODA #success #simpletools #betterlife #goals #takeaction #unlockyourcode #icanhelpyou #awesomelifecoach #supersoulshifter #soulwaves
